CAPTIVATING TITLE

This is the first body paragraph of a first blog post. Usually, it contains some kind of personal information, like who the blogger is, where they are from, what they do for a living, their marital status, and all sorts of information (the kind that can be used to track someone down). This paragraph is somewhat of an introduction to the blogger so you, the reader, can get to know them. It is important to make sure the blogger uses diction that the reader can understand and idioms, expressions, and jokes the reader can relate with or else the blogger might alienate the audience.

The second paragraph is sometimes what the blog will be about; the concept or direction, if you will. If this is merely an online diary, it will go on to talk about how amazing and wonderful the blogger's life is and how you should be thrilled to read about their daily exploits. A political blog will talk of the current political climate, usually, or an issue the blogger would like to focus on. Concept blogs, those who do neither of the above and instead show some purpose like a read-through of a series of books or a cooking blog, will go on in greater detail to explain the blog's purpose.

Usually, an introductory blog post doesn't exceed three paragraphs (unless of course the blogger is a bore or just long winded). They usually wind up with some kind of concise summary or something of the sort. The conclusion, it seems, is the hardest to write for whatever reason, so it is almost invariably shorter than the others. Here, a blogger will wrap up with a joke and the readership will either find it funny or sometimes hilarious and tack on or see the joke fall flat and will probably forget the blog ever existed.

Semicolon close-parenthesis.
