You think you've got it rough. Take my day yesterday and you'll feel scads better.
I was just sitting around in my laboratory working on cold fusion. Yeah, fusing nuclei together at room temperatures. It's pretty high tech crap. I had almost finished, too. I was pouring out sweat over my machine. It was beautiful.
And then comes my sister, just oohing and ahhing over everything until she comes up to me. She looks it over and she just breaks it right in front of my eyes. Right in front of my eyes. I can't believe it. I'm just about to go berserk and murder her until I yell out, "DEE DEE! GET OUT OF MY LABORATORY!"

TvTropes has ruined my life
I don't care what you say, if you've ever been to TvTropes and hung around for a little bit, you'll be drawn in to a never ending vortex of entertainment that will eventually lead to your certain death.

It's kind of like that, only a whole lot worse.

It's kind of like that, only a whole lot worse.
There's just something about it. I dont know what the hell it is, but something about it just pulls you in and keeps you there for insanely long. Whether it be a voodoo curse, a god of the internet, there's something there that makes it so addicting. Almost like the first time I ever played Tetris, I've poured more hours into TvTropes than just about anything else ever. It's like crack, almost, except a hell of a lot better since it has Megas XLR.
Also Gurren Lagann.
Documented here is my first exposition into the abyss. Come with me on a journey through the black hole of the internet. Come with me on a journey to TvTropes.
Hour 1:
I've just arrived honestly, I don't see what the big deal is. Sure, I clicked on a few links to some of the more entertaining things, but I haven't been "sucked in" yet. Honestly, this is just like any other wiki I've ever been on. The only difference is the laid back editing and administration. Hell, at least it's not like that tyrannical WikiPedia.
Hour 2:
Still here, still not immersed. I am somewhat alarmed by the amount of tabs I have opened. FireFox crashed on me a few times and it is putting a drain on my speed. I had to take my laptop into the bathroom with me so I wouldn't loose my place, but still not feeling it.
Hour 3:
Wow. I'm learning things. Coming in, I had no idea who did the voice for Spike Seagal in Cowboy Bebop, but now I know everything he's ever worked on ever. Somethings I couldn't even find on the internet. This site is awesome!
Hour 6:
I didn't write anything for the past 3 hours. Honestly, I don't remember what I did during those hours, but I now have 3 computers around me, all displaying TvTropes. Strange. I don't even have 3 computers in the house. Oh well. It can't hurt to keep going on.
hour 12:
oh god its taking over i dont know how but it is someone help someone help someone help someone help someone help someone help someone help

i dont know wast comin oer me i cnt stop readinng mi hadns abd ees r movng on thir on somon help pleas
Hour OVER 9000!!!
I don't know what I was so afraid of. I think I might have actually come out as a better person, honestly. All of it is so funny in retrospect. Here I had come, thinking the worst of this place but in actuality I was completely ready to accept it as part of me. My earlier entry was a little premature. I think I was being a little unfair and a tad repetitive. And honestly, I was just saying the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. I want everyone who reads this to come and join us, for the water is fine.
I'm not sure how I broke the bond, but that hellish chapter of my life is gone. Who knows what might have happened if I had stayed linked in? Perhaps I would become TvTropes....

CAPTIVATING TITLE
This is the first body paragraph of a first blog post. Usually, it contains some kind of personal information, like who the blogger is, where they are from, what they do for a living, their marital status, and all sorts of information (the kind that can be used to track someone down). This paragraph is somewhat of an introduction to the blogger so you, the reader, can get to know them. It is important to make sure the blogger uses diction that the reader can understand and idioms, expressions, and jokes the reader can relate with or else the blogger might alienate the audience.
The second paragraph is sometimes what the blog will be about; the concept or direction, if you will. If this is merely an online diary, it will go on to talk about how amazing and wonderful the blogger's life is and how you should be thrilled to read about their daily exploits. A political blog will talk of the current political climate, usually, or an issue the blogger would like to focus on. Concept blogs, those who do neither of the above and instead show some purpose like a read-through of a series of books or a cooking blog, will go on in greater detail to explain the blog's purpose.
Usually, an introductory blog post doesn't exceed three paragraphs (unless of course the blogger is a bore or just long winded). They usually wind up with some kind of concise summary or something of the sort. The conclusion, it seems, is the hardest to write for whatever reason, so it is almost invariably shorter than the others. Here, a blogger will wrap up with a joke and the readership will either find it funny or sometimes hilarious and tack on or see the joke fall flat and will probably forget the blog ever existed.
Semicolon close-parenthesis.
